BioI'm an emerging author with a debut novel that's already been nominated for several important prizes -- including the Pulitzer, the PEN-Faulkner Award and several awards for first gay fiction. People often ask me why as a gay man I chose to write a novel about gay women. To me, the answer is, we're all universal, we're all human, we all crave the same basic things.
